Laurent Sauvagnac

The Invisible
Architecture
of Emotion

Originally from Paris and trained in Film Scoring at the prestigious Berklee College of Music (Boston), Laurent Sauvagnac treats sound as a living, physical material. For over twenty years, he has sculpted sonic landscapes that bridge the gap between cinematic storytelling, architecture, and contemporary art.

Original Scores: Film & Series

In the film and television industry, his immersive signature has elevated over a hundred productions. He brought his touch to the final seasons of the international hit series Spiral (EngrenagesInternational Emmy Award winner). His compositions also drive the emotional core of box-office successes like The Climb (L'Ascension), the action film The Crew (Braqueurs), and the acclaimed drama The Truck (K Contraire), officially selected at the Venice Film Festival.

Luxury & Fashion

A pioneer in digital sound design, he created the very first web musical identities for Cartier and Louis Vuitton in 1999. Today, through a close partnership with the music production agency IMALAYA Music, he scores global campaigns and runway shows for prestigious houses such as Dior, Fred (High Jewelry), Pressiat, L’Artisan Parfumeur, Noble Panacea, Ellassay, Beautick, and Printemps. This current momentum follows a long-standing tenure as the sonic signature behind a vast majority of L'Oréal's global campaigns — under the aegis of the X-Track agency and in collaboration with producer Adrien Blamont.

Sonic Scenography & Workplace Wellbeing

Through his agency hého design (co-founded with Marc Debiès) and with acoustician David Guérin, Laurent designs the acoustic soul of exceptional environments, including Le Ritz Paris, the Carré Rive Gauche, and the holographic audio chandelier at the Plaza Athénée.

He provides advanced sensory engineering for Unibail-Rodamco/Westfield's 4-Star destinations and the "Sonic Thread" for the 70 future stations of the Grand Paris Express. This expertise extends to corporate workspaces as a driver of wellbeing (QVT). For Orange, he addressed the "acoustic paradox"—reducing noise while increasing comfort—by treating the open space as a fluid musical score. This project was honored with the Hybrid & Flexible Work Organization Trophy.

Sonic Art & Installations

As a space for pure research, his work explores spatialization and immersive psychoacoustics. Collaborating with artists and designers such as Leïla Habiche, Cécile Planchais, or director Agustina Covian, he creates installations that challenge our perception of space. His 360° dome experiences, such as I Don't Understand, won Best Sonic Experience at the Full Dome U.K Festival 2023.

If you have a project, a space, a film, a campaign, or an idea that needs to become something — I'd like to hear about it.
